Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Go Asia Travel: Arriving at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, our tour guide and driver pick you up and drive you into inner city. You will have time to relax after your flight. In the evening, you will enjoy a performance of traditional Water Puppetry (an art form unique to northern Vietnam, and an interesting, light-hearted introduction to its rural culture). Your overnight stay will be in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi orientation (B, L)
You will spend the whole day to discover Hanoi charming ancient capital. Your guide will take you to the Tran Quoc pagoda, Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century, and a popular attraction, as is Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, his simple stilt house where he lived and worked and the museum dedicated to his memory, one pillar pagoda. After lunch, you will moved to Van Phuc silk village a small village where families have specialized in weaving and dying silk over centuries, once the creators of fine material for the robes of the Royal court. Experiencing sitting on a cyclo, the popular mean of transport in Hanoi, enjoying views of what is happening on the streets of the Hanoi Old Quarter, your overnight will be in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong bay- Alova Halong Cruise (B, L, D)
7h45 – 8h15: Alova Gold Cruise’s bus and guide will pick you up at your hotel & start the 3 hour and a half drive to Halong Bay.
12h00 – 12h30: Board Alova Gold Cruise at the Bai Chay port, enjoy welcome drink, crew briefing before checking in cabin. Start cruising and enjoy a Special lunch with Vietnamese Traditional Dishes while the boat slowly slides on romantic waves of the sea to the legendary fishing village
14h00: Spend one hour Kayaking or Bamboo boat on emerald water of the world heritage.
15h00: Set sails to head to the sandy beach where emotional feeling erupts at one of the most splendid water world; you can swim and enjoy the seascapes with photos shooting.
18h00: Return to the vessel for your own leisure at room or on Sun deck, boat anchors at Sung Sot area – the safest place for overnight.
18h30: Attend the Cooking Demonstration together with our Chief.
19h30: Enjoy dinner (designed only on Alova Gold) with Vietnamese typical foods.
21h00: Intermingle with activities on board such as Cuttle fish fishing, games on board, socializing with others. Our bartender serves you the best drink at bar, overnight on boat.
Day 4: Alova Gold Cruise – Halong Bay – Ha Noi
When the Dawn appears, a new day comes to bring you strange experience!
6h00: Wake up for swimming or photos hunt at dawn
7h30: Have sunrise breakfast in the absolutely quiet lagoon.
8h30: Climb up the mountain to explore one of the most superb & beautiful Sung Sot cave.
9h15: Return to the Vessel, check out and settle the bill, take time to relax while the Vessel is cruising back to Bai Chay Port, leave your words in the Memory Book and have lunch
12h30: Say goodbye to Halong bay and take shuttle bus back to Hanoi
16h30: Arrive in Hanoi.
Day 5: Charming Hanoi with cuisine and shopping (B)
The day will be free for strolling in the charming ancient capital, go shopping in the old quarter, enjoy the savoir of Hanoi specialty, take your pick from traditional Hanoi Pho (beef noodle soup), Nom (green papaya salad with seasoned beef), Banh Goi (pillow-shaped rice pastry with minced pork and mushroom), Banh Cuon (hot rice paper with pork and fried onion) or Bun Cha (fresh noodle with grilled pork). If you are hungry, try two or three varieties, they are snacks rather than a meal. Your overnight will be in Hanoi.
Day 6: Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City (B, D)
Ho Chi Minh City is the heart and soul of Vietnam. It's a bustling, dynamic and industrious centre, the largest city in the country, the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter. Yet within the teeming metropolis are the timeless traditions and beauty of an ancient culture. This is a city that churns ferments, bubbles and fumes. The streets, where much of the city's life takes place, are a jumble of street markets, shops, pavement cafes, stands-on-wheels and vendors selling wares spread out on sidewalks. It is impossible not to be infected by its exhilarating vibe.
After breakfast you will be relax until our driver come and transfer you to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Arriving at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City, the hustle and the bustle city, you will be met and driven to your hotel. Enjoy Welcome dinner with Vietnam traditional cuisine and have a good night sleep.
Day 7: Ho Chi Minh city - Cu Chi half day tour (B, L)
Cu Chi, a system of tunnels combining to form an underground city during the American/ Vietnam War. It is legendary for its network of underground tunnels, which extends over 220km, and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. Cu Chi still contains plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here and all over this area you will find the remnants of war.A morning drive will take you to visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels, a Byzantine maze of underground passages, chambers, rooms and booby traps used by both the Vietminh and the Viet Cong to suddenly materialise as if from nowhere, launch a lightning ambush, you will watch a short introductory video on the tunnels construction and explore the maze of tunnels. And vanish equally rapidly. Your overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh city.
Day 8: Ho Chi Minh city - Mekong delta day trip (B, L)
Exotic life in Mekong Delta can not be seen in any where else all over the world. The rich culture and amazing beautiful fruit orchards offer tourists a relaxing trip. It will value your stay in Vietnam with unforgettable memories, unique experience and chance of communicating with such friendly and hospitable locals.We start the tour early at 7h30 and go ahead to Tien Giang. On arrival take a boat trip around four beautiful Islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise and Phoenix on Tien River. Through Xep canal to visit Mekong traditional houses at Quoi An village (make all from coconut tree). See coconut collection set and how the locals make handicrafts from coconut trunk and shell. Enjoy seasonal fruits and listening to traditional music. Take the horse-cart on village path and stop at Ben Truc orchard, taste honey with tea or wine. See bees-breeding in wooden boxes at local farms.
Take rowing-boat on water palm creek, lunch on islets at the local house. Experience the friendliness and hospitability of the host. Boat to visit a coconut candy workshop, taste candy (Special products of Bentre province) Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. End of the tour at about 5:00 pm.
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh City, relaxing and shopping around (B)
After breakfast you will be spoilt for choice for shops and most of them are within easy walking distance of each other. Many shops are found along Dong Khoi, which used to be the trendy Rue Catena in French colonial times. Close by are Hai Ba Trung and Le Loi, which are also worth a look. Off-the-peg clothing is always a good buy but even better is to have clothes made up by one of the many tailors. There is always a good range of colored silk to choose from. Hand-embroidered tablecloths and napkins are very popular. Your overnight will be in Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh City departure
